Bernadette. Peters, born Bernadette A. Lazzara, born in Ozone Park Queens New York 28 February 1948 is a songwriter/singer and a writer of children's books. Over the course of an extensive career spanning over five decades, she's appeared in musical theatre movies and on television, as well as performing on her own and in recordings. The actress was nominated, and she won the award three times. Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway album of casts in which she performed. Peters initially appeared on stage when she was a kid, and later as an actress in her teenage years during the 1960s and in film and television in the 1970s. For her early stage work as well for her television performances, which included The Carol Burnett Show The Muppet Show as well as Annie. In the 1980s, she went back to Broadway where for three decades she was one of Broadway's top actors. In addition to recording six solo albums, several singles and many cast albums as well, she also performs frequently in her own concert. Peters was performed in movies and on TV in which she was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. She was also nominated for 3 Emmy Awards.
